The Calusa Land Trust “Peter Ordway” Paddling Tour is in full swing this season. Join us Saturday February 1st, paddling through the Big Jim Creek Preserve (325+ protected acres). Paddlers will meet at the Captain Con’s launch (with free parking) in Bokeelia at 9am. You can use your own watercraft or rent one from Carmen’s Kayaks (239-333-7332). The guided tour will meander through the preserve mangrove forest islands and share the day with resident birds, dolphins and fish species. Including bottled water in your kayak is recommended. This is also a fundraising event, so a donation of $20 per person ($10 for CLT members) is requested. New membership forms will be available.
